Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Rick Christiaanse

Rick Christiaanse was appointed CEO in October 2021. Rick is a seasoned senior executive in the corporate, public, and not-for-profit sectors and brings decades of senior business leadership experience driving growth and completing multi-million-dollar investments globally. He offers a breadth of knowledge extending from the high-tech ecosystem for both start-ups and billion-dollar enterprises to working hand-in-glove with governments and not-for-profit organizations. A highly effective commercial tactician, Rick is adept at driving brand equity, operational results, and shareholder value in competitive markets.

As CEO, Rick leads Invest Alberta in breaking down barriers for investors and attracting high impact, high value investments and jobs to the province.

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Lynette Tremblay

Lynette Tremblay oversees all investor services and investment attraction activities, including our domestic and international teams. Lynette has been with Invest Alberta since the Summer of 2021, first serving as Vice President of Investor Services. Her teams are dedicated to providing high-end tailored support to companies, investors and major new projects. This includes marketing and communications, external relations, research & market intelligence, and investor experience, which involves concierge services to investors including navigating regulatory, policy and permitting requirements, connecting with government and stakeholders, communications and public relations support, site visits and selection, data and research for business case development and more.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Jasmine Nuthall

Jasmine Nuthall oversees Finance and Administration, including Invest Alberta’s accounting, legal, contracts and information technology and human resources departments. Nuthall, who has CMA, CFE and MBA designations, joined Invest Alberta in early 2022 as Vice President, Finance and Administration.  Her teams are responsible for Invest Alberta’s financial management, procurement services, human resources, global operations and administration. They are focused on operating an efficient, modern and innovative investment promotion agency. 

Acting Managing Director, Asia

John McDonald

John McDonald leads the investment promotion teams in Asia which includes advisors located in New Delhi, Seoul, Singapore, and Tokyo. These teams provide companies and investors in Asia with advice and support in exploring investment opportunities in Alberta.

Managing Director, Greater China

Kevin Tsui

Kevin Tsui leads the investment promotion team for greater China, overseeing advisors located in Beijing, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong. This team provides companies and investors in Greater China with advice and support in exploring investment opportunities

Director, USA

Jordan Speakman

Jordan Speakman leads the investment promotion team across the United States of America, with advisors located in San Francisco, Houston, Seattle, and soon, New York. These teams provide companies and investors in the United States with advice and support in exploring investment opportunities in Alberta.
